Salva’s R&D Department Secures Funding for Three Strategic Projects in Bakery Ovens and Smart Bakery Equipment

At Salva, we continue to strengthen our leadership in the development of bakery equipment and next-generation bakery ovens. Our R&D Department has been awarded funding for the development of three strategic technological innovation projects, focused on energy efficiency, advanced digitalization, and the application of Artificial Intelligence in professional ovens and bakery machinery.

SCAPHOR

New Retractable Automatic Door Concepts for High-Efficiency Professional Ovens in Retail

The SCAPHOR project drives the development of an innovative retractable automatic door system that will enable the design of a new generation of high-efficiency, high-performance bakery ovens, especially tailored to retail environments and in-store production points.

This innovation in bakery equipment will allow us to:

  • Improve energy efficiency in industrial ovens

  • Optimize thermal performance

  • Increase operator safety and ergonomics

  • Make better use of space at the point of sale

  • Reduce heat loss and energy consumption

AIDIS

AI-Based Smart Connectivity System for Ovens and Bakery Processes

The AIDIS project will enhance Salva’s connectivity system by incorporating new Artificial Intelligence-based functionalities, applicable both at oven/machine level and in the comprehensive management of the bakery process.

This solution strengthens the digital transformation of bakery equipment, offering:

  • Intelligent real-time monitoring of bakery ovens

  • Automatic optimization of baking parameters
